Detective Phillip Russell has been handed the case of the century. There's only one catch. Lucy Mills is a hard-working single mother who works two jobs in order to pay the bills and take care of her son. She's hoping to get a great new job at a law firm, but the boss there isn't interested in hiring someone with so much baggage. She decides to join the Pretendr app so she can find a stand-in husband to get the employer off her back and land the job of her dreams. After meeting and hitting it off, Phillip and Lucy agree to help each other, but the more time they spend together, the more they realize the feelings they have for one another are anything but fake...
