Rockstar Redemption Series
|
"I almost never give 5 stars but I'm giving this book my highest rating. It is filled with engaging characters that you come to know and wish for their happiness in spite of their weaknesses. As you read it you feel Ian's concerns for all those around him. I totally recommend this book and hope you enjoy it as much as I did."
-Nanabear "I love Ian Taylor and the Buxton Peak group. This is one of my favorite."
-DarleneShy "Julie once again does not disappoint. Always well written and engaging."

"I loved the relationship between Ian and Megan and their characters personalities."
-AOC "Megan and Ian are a good couple. He’s pretty determined. She’s a little overwhelmed. A good clean light read."
-ImBusyReading "I love that Megan has no idea who Ian is and even though he has fabulous glamorous women throwing themselves at him, he only has eyes for her. Their story is the sweetest and I love getting lost in it."
-Julie B. |
|
"I've really enjoyed reading about Ian and his band. This has been such a good journey to follow!"
-Thomas Family "It’s hard to classify this story into a particular genre. It has romance, but it doesn’t follow the traditional romantic plotline because the guy already has the girl. The story is a combination of rock star romance, Christian romance, and college romance. And while the story is a tearjerker for some, it is definitely an inspirational story. Recommended for those who like a clean story, tension, and just a sweet ending."
-Evenstar |

"This was a wonderful addition to the Rockstar series Julie has written! It was intriguing to hear more about Andy and his very different perspective and experiences from Ian. He truly matures in this book, which is a great segway into the final book following this one. It is a book I simply couldn't stop listening to!"
-Audrianna "I’ve read all of the Rockstar Redemption novels and this one does not disappoint! The novel moves from the beginning, not wasting a moment of the reader’s time, and is full of emotion. I love Andy’s character. He really has a lot to work through, but it made the novel deep. I experienced anxiety right along with him. Gripping. There were moments that even hit me in the feels. Yep, tears. The Buxton Peak series has grown and evolved and readers will love this love story."
-Evenstar |

"I loved this story and the ins and outs of a life of a celebrity. The characters each had their unique personality, struggles, yet they lifted each other up through the ups and downs. I can't wait to read more of this series again."
-Rosetti "Another wonderful book about my favorite band (even if they are only real in print). I never cry over a book but this one had me sobbing at one point. I won't ruin it for you by telling you where. I experienced the whole rang of emotions with this book. This is a must read!"
-Barbara "I’ve followed this series all the way through and this one is just as good as the rest. Julie Spencer’s characters are refreshingly real and good-hearted. I love Nathaniel!"
-PickyDoo Deb |

"Okay, I love the Buxton Peak series. I am invested in the characters, especially Ian Taylor the lead singer, songwriter and, well, leader of the band. While I think Opening Act could be enjoyed as a stand alone, it fits seamlessly between Buxton Peak: The Early Years and Buxton Peak: Center Stage. Opening Act also provides information that enhances the later books in the season."
-R. Sticklee "I can’t get enough of Buxton Peak. I couldn’t put any of them down and this was no different. It’s a pretty short novella that just fills in some details of their first real tour."
-Julie B. |
|
"I really adore Ian Taylor. I've enjoyed this series and the added journal entries gave it a new level. This is a great series dealing with tough issues. It's done thoughtfully, and written beautifully. Julie Spencer is an excellent storyteller."
-A Mouse Byanyother Name "I absolutely LOVE Julie's books and this boxed set was a great way to have the Buxton Peak stories all together."
-Vanessa Labombard "I loved all the Buxton Peak books and kept wanting more! This is the more I wanted! It was all the stories together but with Ian’s tweets and journal entries, more from different perspectives and more on some side characters that could definitely have their own story. This can be read as a stand alone but I loved reading it after the series just to keep the story going for me."

The Love Letter Series
|
"Loved it! Wow, so fun to read. Great ending, so sweet. I definitely need this in print to add to my library."
-Secret Pearls Reviews "I wasn't sure how to feel about a book with Mormon in the title. I found the story to be sweet, funny and without pretense. And, to my delight, the story was not a sermon. Well written and enjoyable, I can recommend this book for teens & adults alike."
-Rose Desierto "It was funny, clean, and had unexpected depth. I love the fact that Julie writes about characters who are members of the Mormon, or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints without being preachy. Her characters have depth because they have real life challenges and a belief system that gives them values to sustain in a world that doesn’t always understand them, and humor. A fun read!"

"I really liked this follow-up to Who Wants to Marry a Morman Girl. This was a clean and fun listen and I laughed and almost cried."

I loved the chemistry between Cora and Brock, and the behind-the-scenes look at this unique version of twenty women competing for one handsome and charming bachelor. I highly recommend this book if you like clean romance and happy endings."

"This sweet romance was really well written and kept me reading when I should've gone to sleep. Although it is an LDS romance, it is lighthearted, and respectful to faith in general. The ending was a good reminder that we can't always see the path that we will take! Great story of love, faith, and the surprise twists life takes."
-A.A. Carling "Such an amazing read, I couldn’t put it down and read it all in one afternoon. This book was gripping, well written & the chemistry between the characters sizzled throughout this wonderful read. I certainly wasn’t expecting the curveball that the author threw at us and that ending....WOW!! I loved it! Do yourself a favor and pick this book up, you won’t regret it!"

"This was an interesting book, learning about both the Mormons and the Mennonites and the differences in their beliefs. A sweet clean romance that shows all the stumbling blocks in their way. Enjoyed this book."
-Ellen M. Hogan "It is a romance that has its ups and downs. They finally work out their religious differences realizing there will be things to pop up along the way but willing to compromise. It is a wonderful story. I enjoyed it immensely."
-The Bookworm "This is a well written story that manages to have religion play a major roll to the plot without being preachy to the reader."

Stand-Alone Novels

"So many different feelings! All of them conflicting. This book addresses so many angles of teens and alcohol and sex. It's a complicated area to navigate, to be sure. So many grey areas. I think the book covers it all."
-Book Worm Mom "This was a very gripping book. It was also extremely emotional, as in every single page was very emotional. This is a whole different perspective of a situation dealing with the charged topic of rape and the very grey areas that can be involved with teenage romance."
-A. Barrett "A really great read. I could relate not only with the people but the plot too. A great read that makes one think."
-Susan H. "A really good book. The best I have read in a long time and I read a lot! A really good lesson for adolescents if they will only take note!"
-RuthAnn |

"This was a very emotional story of a young girl/ woman with a eating disorder. Edwina also finds love with Joel. It is a great book as it teaches you about the disorder and helps you see into the lives of those who have to deal with it and help the person who is suffering with the disorder. This story is realistic. It is sad in parts, yet happy in others. I enjoyed the story very much."
-The Bookworm "The inner turmoil that you see in Winnie is so powerful, even from the beginning of the book, that it makes you take a closer look at her character. I can’t imagine the pressers that come from being a hard core athlete, but if anyone can help her it’s Joel. These two have such instant chemistry and connection with one another that it had me rooting for them from their first date. Their story and Winnie’s struggles made this book a compelling read." -Abooknut |
