What books are eligible? Free or New Releases
- Free at least two days - Thursday and Friday the week of the newsletter going out and/or New release within the past 30 days.
- Clean, contemporary stories with some element of romance or love story.
- Books must be well-written with a professional-looking cover, well-formatted, and be something I would actually be interested in reading (I’m a prolific reader so this shouldn’t be difficult).
What I’ll do for you:
- I’ll create one blog post and share it on all my social media accounts.
- I’ll try to tag you when I post my blog.
- I will collect all daily blog posts and put them on one newsletter to go out Thursday evening.
- I will share my newsletter on my social media.
What I require of you:
- Must provide clean link to book, bio, and links to social media accounts emailed to me by Word document. Make it easy on me so that I can copy/paste your information to my blog.
- Must join my newsletter and watch for your email to come to your inbox on the date of your newsletter going out.
- Must try to share the newsletter on your social media accounts. Also try to share your individual blog post if possible.
Other eligibility requirements:
- Author must be willing to email me a digital copy of your book, point out any sections that may be questionable so I can review them in advance of them going on my website. Also tell me if your book is an ARC that has not been through a final edit. I’m really picky about grammar and spelling and that may be a deal-breaker if I see too many errors.
- I prefer to feature no swearing or very few words used strategically to make a point (not just “that’s how my character would talk in real life because he’s rebellious guy.”).
- Closed-door relationships are fine but I don’t want to read about anyone touching other peoples’ body parts. Call me a prude if you want. If there’s something questionable in your book, point it out to me in advance so I can decide.
- I read fast and love to write reviews so I may or may not read your story and/or write a review. My mamma always taught me that if I can’t say something nice, I shouldn’t say anything at all. If I honestly didn’t like the book for my own personal reasons, I’ve run out of time because I’m busy that week, or if I can’t give the book a four or five star review, I’m not going to review it. I have only left a one-star review once in all the years I’ve been writing reviews and that was because the book was advertised as a Christmas/Christian/Clean book and halfway through the book there was a hot-tub scene that made me so uncomfortable that I stopped reading. It was too bad, too, because the rest of the book was well-written and a good story.
If you’re interested in submitting your book to my blog or newsletter, and it fits the above criteria, fill out this form and email me to send me your Word document along with the dates you’d like to be included.
If you have any questions, email me at [email protected].
I look forward to working with you! –Julie L. Spencer
