Best friend/ worst enemy: Shelumiel hates everyone but attempts to tolerate Nahshon (Shon), Prince of Judah and Abidan, Prince of Benjamin because they are the three oldest princes. Shelumiel starts the festival off on the right foot by giving Shon a black eye. Not a good way to keep friends.

What’s his story? Shelumiel and Zara’s story is a beauty and the beast trope. He’s a jerk to pretty much everyone, including her. He’s a jealous, envious, greedy bully. He is compelled to be humble when he loses the use of his hands. Shelumiel has very few redeeming qualities at the beginning of the story.
