What’s his story? Elias is cynical and thinks he needs to give every ounce of his time and energy to helping the poor. He’s reluctantly rich, snobby, idealistic, and has a chip on his shoulder. He needs to learn the concept of teaching people how to fish rather than giving them one meal at a soup kitchen. He thinks he doesn't need a ruler, but that government should pay for everything. He contradicts himself and hates rich people. Above all, he wants to serve God. Weird combination, I know.
