Best friend/ worst enemy: His bestest friend is Deborah, but he also considers Eliab (Eli) to be his best friend (even though he’s sneaking around behind his back with his younger sister). No enemies to speak of.

What’s his story? Ahira is a goofy, eccentric, flamboyant tree hugger who is one of the fastest runners in all of Israel. This will come into play somewhere later in the story, but I’m not sure how yet. He is madly in love with Deborah, and they love to go skinny dipping together. Even though they’re waiting to have sex until they’re married, temptation is right there. She’s getting harder to resist. But she’s a prophetess, and he’s a prophet who is very in-tune with the body/spirit connection. Hence the reason he loves to be naked with her. Skin to skin they’re able to connect spiritually but their bodies can only handle so much temptation. They need to get married. Now!
